COVID Jabs

The Covid vaccinations are progressing at a pace with the published targets likely to be met. However, sometimes there are holdups in the process which can be frustrating.

It seems that the quickest way to book your vaccination when the invitation arrives by text message or letter is to book on-line. The booking system does get a bit clogged up at times so if you are having a job logging in for an appointment, don’t panic – just log out and have another go in half an hour or so. Monday mornings seem to be particularly busy.

You can book by phone but experience has shown this sometimes means a lot of waiting to be answered.

If you are not sure of how to do the on-line process, help is at hand. Martin Yates is a long-term trusted Cotton resident and has recently gone through the jab process himself. He is quite willing to give advice over the phone. Parish Councillor Sue Cox is also well versed in the process and is happy to offer advice over the phone too. Their details are as follows:

Sue Cox – 07515 455626

Martin Yates – 07702 553436 or 01449 781564

Three really important points to remember:

1) Don’t ring in, you will be invited to receive your jab

2) The vaccine is free of charge

3 )The NHS will never ask you for credit card details
